These days, it seems that everyone is talking about U-values. The introduction of easy-to-understand window energy ratings has made it simple for consumers to compare the energy-efficiency of different windows. With ever-increasing fuel bills and a genuine desire amongst homeowners and businesses to reduce their carbon emissions, the demand for highly insulating windows keeps on growing.
Interest in triple-glazing is increasing. We’re proud to offer a triple glazed window that can deliver a whole window U-value of 0.8W/ (m2.K) – that’s up to PassivHaus standards!
We offer both chamfered and ovolo shaped frames, with either a 36 mm or 40 mm glazed unit. Top quality, gas-filled, low-emissivity glass from recognised suppliers like Pilkington is used, along with thermally-efficient spacer bars. The multi-chambered Elite 63 profiles are further insulated with foam inserts, making a window that is extremely efficient in terms of thermal and sound insulation.
We always ensure that, to cope with the extra weight of the third pane, windows carry the required reinforcing and that all hardware and hinges are more than up to the job.
