Futura Frames is fully committed to the principals of ISO9001 and first attained ISO9001:1994 accreditation in December 2000 and is currently being awarded with the ISO9001:2000 accreditation.

   
 

Production Quality
Futura Frames was the first company in the Irish uPVC industry to be awarded the ISO9001:1994 incorporating the production of Shaped units. Production of shapes is a purely manual process requiring extreme skill and attention to detail as each shape is based on a unique template provided by the customer.

Production Process
  • Frame\Profile cut to specified dimensions by Computerised Cutting Centre.
  • V-Notching: Slots cut into the frame to allow any required sashes to be fitted.
  • Reverse Butt-Welding: Preparation of frame for welding by Single Headed Welder for Sash Openings.
  • Routing: Cutting slots in the frame for door locks and vents as specified by the Computerised Routing Machine.
  • Drainage: Slots drilled in the frame by Cutting Centre or Drainage Machine for required drainage.
  • Reinforcing: Steel inserts fitted into frame to strengthen frame.
  • Welding: All relevant components are welded on either of the following welding machines, Three Headed Welder, Four Headed Welder, Six Headed Welder.
  • Cleaning: Cleaning off all edges of the Frame , Corners and Transoms on the CNC Cleaning Machine and Transom Cleaner
  • Fitting gear by Espag Machine.
  • Hanging :Manually hanging sash to frame.
  • Beading: Accurately cutting scotia bead and inserting bead in frame on beader machine.
  • Bead on sashes fitted prior to gear assembly.
  • Glazing: Manually inserting glass into frame and/or sash.
Expansion
Futura Frames is continuing to upgrade its production capabilities, computer system, both software and hardware, along with the continuous cross training of all staff so as to optimise the return from capital employed.
